Stillwater man faces 20 felonies for tax evasion

A Stillwater resident has been charged with 20 felony counts of tax evasion after allegedly failed to pay income and sales tax to the Minnesota Department of Revenue.

For a resident, you know you’re someplace special when you can take a long walk without locking your doors, when you have bike paths and neatly kept yards and corner stores within walking distance, and when your city leaders care about things like libraries and getting old men out of burning houses and preserving historic buildings and trying to keep your taxes low.

Working on a Holiday
Construction is underway on a new Holiday Stationstore off of Interstate 94 and Manning Avenue in West Lakeland Township. Officials within West Lakeland Township deemed the intersection “reasonable use of the property.” The gas station is scheduled to be open 24-hours a day, making it convenient for drivers and adding a measure of safety to travelers. The new station is the only one within four miles along I-94. Dan Kyllo, chairman of the West Lakeland Township board said residents in the rural area are looking forward to the Stationstore opening later this year. “I’ve heard many comments from residents who are anticipating the opening so they can go there for gasoline or for convenient items,” Kyllo said.
