Students recycle gently used school supplies
Ethan, left, and Brent Barclay learned that making a difference in the world doesn’t have to cost a lot of money. SAHS, Afton-Lakeland get new principals

Although their hires won’t be confirmed until the local school board next meets on Aug. 14, new principals are already at work at both Stillwater Area High School and Afton-Elementary School.

Stillwater Area High School yearbook teacher receives award

Local educator recognized for her contributions

All she had to do was submit a resume. On June 9, Stillwater Area High School teacher Laurie Hansen was recognized as The Minnesota High School Press Association’s Journalism Educator of the Year. A fellow advisor, whom Hanson had helped through a censorship battle, nominated her.
