United Methodist Church will be taking a group of 15 missionaries Friday, Aug. 8, to Belize.

Stephanie Umunna came to the United States as a 3-year-old deaf girl from Africa. Unable to communicate, she would have had few accommodations or opportunities in her home country of Nigeria.

Lemonade legacy

Seven-year-old Kyle Tierney died March 27, but his legacy lives on. Diagnosed at the age of 2 with a type of cancer called ependymoma, Kyle passed with his family, according to the family blog, www.kyletierney.com.
